I wrote up some pre-Update conversion advice for my alliance yesterday. Hopefully this helps:

And I put together a calculator to predict what our Prestige levels will be post update as well as the max level we’d be able to upgrade to based on Global Population.  
Follow the link, make a copy of the sheet, and enter your own Kingdom Level and Power Level values to see where you’ll be:
