Gems of War Database - updated troops list and much more!

Works as intended.

Hey, @Lyya, hope you don’t mind but I linked your site in the Steam forums.

If you need to change url again at anytime in the future, let me know and I’ll update the links.

I greatly appreciate your comprehensive list and felt it’d help to inform others that don’t frequent the forums.
Thanks so much for your effort and dedication!

Added a weapons list, which is very similar to the troops list.

http://ashtender.com/gems/weapons

Just like the troops list, it supports sorts, filters, and colors as part of the query parameters:

And you can also directly link a weapon by either ID or by name!

And localized links!

http://ashtender.com/gems/de-DE/weapons/stulpenhandschuhe-des-wildhueters (whew)

(I haven’t built the tabular view yet, that’s still coming.)

As always, let me know if there’s anything missing from the data that might make your lives easier.

Lyya

Edit: Fixed the crappy low-res art, but aspect ratio is still wrong for the portraits. Will fix later.

Nice…

The hero class mythic weapons are shown as legendary and coming from events… presume should be shown as mythic and coming from 250 wins in class ?

They are actually legendary and not mythic. However, you’re right, they’re not technically from Bundles or Special Events. (unless you count 250 wins with a class as a Special Event)
It’s also interesting to note that they do not appear in the in-game weapons list when you hit Show All if you don’t already have them. EDIT: Actually even if you DO have them they will disappear from the list while Show All is Selected… And Show All is where it would normally list where you get the weapon from, so the only way to view it currently if you don’t have it is through the Hero screen and viewing the class, which won’t work if you don’t have it unlocked…

(And yes @Lyya That is the Valkyrie team you suggested in the Valkyrie thread  it’s working well, thanks for the suggestion!)

Hmmm… I’m sure back when hero classes were launched, these were described in the preview video as mythic weapons…

There’s nothing in the data files to support them being of mythic rarity, though as rarity for weapons is entirely subjective (they cannot be disenchanted or ascended, and they don’t have drop rates), there’s not much of a difference either way. If I can figure out how to differentiate class weapons from others, I can make them mythic in appearance.

Noticed a bug wherein I’m not adjusting magic scaling properly for Crescendo and Burning Scythe, will address today.

Note that those weapons do have different colour backgrounds - mythic turquoise, just as legendary is orange, epic is purple and so on…

That’s true, but if you look at the border art in the Hero menu, they’re classified as Legendary despite that color. Might be an oversight on the dev team’s part, though likely not a high-priority one.

Okay, I’ve updated the logic for spell calculations to appropriately account for magic scale factors. This fixes the description for Poison Master as well as Crescendo and Burning Scythe.

I’ve also fixed the description for hero weapons, and made the requirement descriptions filterable. To see all hero weapons, use this filter: http://ashtender.com/gems/weapons?filter=class+weapon+reward

The only weapons in there that seem out of place are Broken Hilt ( http://ashtender.com/gems/weapons/1112 ) and Shattered Blade ( http://ashtender.com/gems/weapons/1111 ). I don’t think that these weapons are in game, so it’s likely just placeholder data that was updated incorrectly. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be a good way to filter them out of my query (unlike troops) so I either need to blacklist these IDs or just leave them.

I figured out how to include only implemented hero class weapons, so the other false positives (and unreleased content) will no longer show in the list. http://ashtender.com/gems/weapons?filter=class+weapon+reward now shows only the rewards for the 8 released classes.

Currently summon descriptions don’t list what level the troop comes in at, or if it’s based on Magic it doesn’t say that either. They just say “Summons a level Thrall/Spider Swarm/Orc/etc”

Troops Affected:
Dark Master
Dokkalfar
Gar’Nok
Giant Spider
Goblin King
Summoner

Weapons Affected:
Daemonomicon
Nysha’s Skull

Oof. Thanks for the info, I’ll correct it tomorrow.

And fixed. Let me know if you find other inaccuracies please, I don’t really have regression tests or anything here so it’s basically just whack-a-feature!

Added the Hero classes to the database. They can be found here:

As with troops and weapons, it’s possible to link Hero classes directly:

Added hero perks with mouseover tips, as well as a blurb indicating which color mastery they get when leveling. Note that all level rewards for classes are assumed to be in addition to whatever base stats your Hero has.

This is awesome! Thanks!

The troop table is great, very helpful.

Although, I would like to have the option to sort by specific stats (such as attack or life). Are there any plans of adding such?

Or for specific trait stones if possible. Though i could search for specific troop colors.
